Hot Springs Cove
露 天 勁 熱 溫 泉

要浸室內熱溫泉實在容易不過,不過要在卑詩省露天浸溫泉,特別是溫度高達攝氏50度的露天溫泉就難上加難。位於溫哥華島北面的Queen Charlotte Islands就有個Hot Springs Island(Gandle K'in),不過要從溫哥華島Port Hardy坐10多小時船到Prince Rupert,再坐近7小時船才可到達Queen Charlotte Islands, 之後還要多付200元左右才可在Hot Springs Island圓其浸海邊溫泉夢。時間與金錢是否划算,就見仁見智。click to read more

INFORMATION
As the Western Star's career management and job-search expert, I will be presenting weekly key concepts and actions for people managing their careers and coping with the job changes, promotions, career-switching, and other challenges of the 21st-century job market.
The first Career Key is Information. We are an Information Society. Not just the West -- this newsociety includes the Third World, the changing economies of Eastern Europe and middle Asia, the reforming economies of South America -- but everywhere. Sateillite telephones and the Internet mean that no-one is off ofthe Information Superhighway, nor can afford to be.
Those who discover, manipulate, and create information will be successful.Those who proactively search out the information they need, and then present it to people or groups who value it, will rise. Those who only react to information, those who are always surprised by new developments in technology, economics, and politics, will inevitably lose.
Of course this creates a conundrum. Who can know everything? The answer is: no-one. But that is a response to the wrong question. The right question is, What do you know that is important to you and important to the people around you?
What is important to you are answers to questions like: What is the true value of my skills? What accomplishments would be valued by my employers? What do my employers really want and need? What are my employers true goals? What can I do to help my employers? Who are the people who can say "yes" to me and to my ideas? Exactly where in the organization do I fit best? What is an underperforming division of the organization which I can easily make more profitable? Should I be leaving my current employer, as they are bound to fail? What is the actual risk in moving to another company? Exactly what balance of loyalty and self-interest goes into my career formula? You must have the answers.
If you examine the career of almost every successful executive, salesman, entrepreneur, bureaucrat, or craftsman, you will find a pattern of acquiring and using information to open doorways, placate co-workers, and keep ahead of the crowd. Merely excellent work is not good enough for you to advance in your workplace or to achieve security.
